From My Bike I

I have started a new style of image making, combining my old passion (photography) with a new passion: cycling. I bring my camera on rides, and basically shoot from the hip. I set up my shots, anticipating what kind of effect I want, then shoot away. The results vary widely from interesting to unrecognizable, and everything in between. Here are a few of my favorites so far. I will continue to update these as I take more, so check back often!

a red carpet affair!

I was recently a bridesmaid in my best friends wedding, and while I couldn't carry a camera down the aisle, I certainly had one one the dance floor! I hope you enjoy some of my favorites.

Corn Hill Gazette: Resident of the Month

Last week I was interviewed by one of my neighbors for a story in the local monthly newsletter. I thought it would just be a small paragraph, so I was surprised to see a full page with three photos! I am hoping this will lead to some new work as most of the people here know me as "Copy Shop Girl" and not as a photographer. If you have come to this site as a result of the article, please, tell me what you think! I would love to hear from a fresh audience!

Rochester Group Shoot 2009

This past weekend I took part in a neat Rochester event hosted by a local studio owner: The Rochester Group Shoot. Essentially, it is a full day full of models, photographers, and make-up artists who come together to practice their crafts, build portfolios, network and have fun. We went to a bunch of different locations around the city, with different models each time. Here are a few of my favorites!
